Well, here we are again...

I shoot fashion, beauty, and lifestyle in Southern California. I've been published in print magazines as well as online magazines/blogs. I favor 35mm film and black and white, but digital is the medium now. I like Instagram over Facebook... My most recent work usually hits my Facebook Page first and then Instagram/Tumblr/Twitter. That's just how it goes.

I always get asked what equipment I use, so here it goes. Skip this paragraph if you don't want to fall asleep... Main camera is a Canon 5D Mark III. Lenses: 85L, 24-70L, and a 135L. Film stuff: Canon 1N, Canon Canonet QL-17 GIII, Olympus OM-2N, Yashica D. Other stuff, Sony NEX-6, Canon S95 and my lovely Profoto Acute 2 lighting system.

Influences and history... I'd like to say that I studied photography all my life, but that's not the case. I studied art history and graphic design. I wanted to be a comic book artist, I just wanted to ink. But I never followed that dream. I went into Computer Science. That led me to buy tech stuff because it was cool. I shared an Olympus D-340L for my first taste in digital cameras. Eventually I bought a Nikon 775 for my own use and kept buying various point and shoots until I took the plunge and bought a Pentax K10D. It was cool and all, but the photos looked like shit to me. I don't know why. I sold it and got a Canon 50D, that's when everything just snowballed and here I am now. I took a workshop on how to shoot with models with Charles Lucima and then a beauty workshop with Sean Armenta. Now I know a little bit about this photography thing.

Congrats on making it this far down.
